CORVETTE 1:4 MODEL

after the sketch, made 1/4 scale model in foam with
a lot of bondo and sweat...  at the time i nicked named it the "bat_mobile"
CORVETTE IN MOTION

my last project at ACCD summer of 92 was a GM sponsored
corvette project... what a way to end your education.. probably
one of my favorites... had the opportunity to meet the
Legendary Chuck Jordon.  i was highly influenced by the 63 split
window stingray model.  63 split window was so iconic that i felt it 
should be done again with a modern twist without losing its
strong emotional surfaces
CHRYSLER ADVANCED SPORT COUPE

an early sketch i did while interning at chrysler pacifica
of a 2+2 coupe in the spring of 92... i tamed it down later to make it a bit more realistic
the design concept was to borrow the artist cues of the cubist movement.  cubism reflected
the industrial age by describing movements on paintings which broke most all of the perspective rules of drawing.  i worked on some white foam blocks and started to mimic the cubist shapes by sanding the surfaces and studying the light and shadows that were the result of the surface manipulations
